i have the cdkey for css and hl2 but no cds to install it with -_- any cracks i can use to get around this?

I've been having extreme difficulties with the networking ability of one of my computers lately. When I first got this computer, it was quite networkeable and had only one or two bugs when folders were shared between it and my older computer. Over time however, I have been steadily losing connectivity to folders that were shared, and been unable to access them from my other computer again. Can someone list a bevy of the best processors on the market right now? Also how effective is dual-core in terms of gaming performance. I know most games aren't written to fully take advantage of parallel processing but upcoming games like "Alan Wake" are beginning to take advantage of multiple threads. Also I've been hearing that Pentium D's architecture is quite shitty...although I have a pentium D and 1g and pretty much max out any game out there right now. I turn on my computer and don't even get the BIOS splash. I restarted, checked all connections, twice, switch VC toa different power wire, checked to make sure it wasn't the monitor, reseated the VC, checked all fans (working). [EDIT]Also no beep codes on power up[/EDIT] What else could it possible be? I have it down to either fried MoBo, fried VC or dead power supply... Any other suggestions? It's hard to rage with no machine that can run any games...
