Whenever i start Installshield to install something, it freezes with the splash screen stuck on my PC screen. help plz thx.

well i have 2 problems that are pissing me off a little first one is that when i double click a folder , it opens a windows search instead of simply opening the folder. second problem is that all my folders are setted at "read-only" and never asked for it , but when i try to deselect the read only thing , it deselect , i click apply , i click ok and i leave the folders propreties and then i come back in the files propreties and the "read-only" is still there. could you help me ? :)

hey. i managed to get hold of someones mysql backup and i had a friend get some passwords out of it for the forums and i raged it. i got busted cause my friend managed to leave my name behind in the admin panel by instead of copying my image link he copied my name aswell :| but anyway they have since deleted the mysql backup from there ftp but i backed it up. i was wondering if anyone knew how to get steam accounts out of it?! i will give you the backup if someone tells me how to do it since i only want one account. thx

I have a SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card. This has six channels(the jacks on the back of your computer where the sound card is). I was looking into buying some surround sound speakers, so I bought Logitech's Z-5300. I was told to plug a cord that had three different colored ends into the subwoofer and the back of my sound card. I was given the colors orange, black, and light green. So, I plugged one end into the subwoofer and went to look at the back of my pc. I noticed that since I had 6 spots where I could plug it in, I had to choose three. I have forest green, black, light green, pink, blue, and red. I didn't understand where to plug in the orange so I am asking if anyone kn…

Just wondering, Can a hack cause lag? For example, Optus ET servers have been lagging badly lately and they're closing down in 2 weeks so nobody cares if they get caught for hacking so there's been hackers all over the servers... Would a hack/several hackers cause lag? Or is it just a problem with the server? Thanks.

I'm downloading a movie on Azureus and you know how it saves the file into a folder? Well I tried clicking on the .mpg file to watch what was allready downloaded so far and it doesnt work. I tried copying the file and pasting it elsewhere and it still didnt work. Is there a program I can view unfinished downloaded clips? Thanks

Deleting one's program from the process tab of the task manager. I know it's possible. It's definetly possible ('cause you can wipe the contents of the process part, I just can't seem to delete my row). Anyone know how?
