Well since I was forced to learn Java by my school and I never use it, I want to learn a new language. Let's just start off by saying I want to make a keylogger. I don't have all the time in the world to invest it into C++ or C, so I'm guessing I'll go with VB. What vers of VB do I use (6 or .Net or what)

Well, this bug has been known for quite some time, but I just found a funny and hell annoying way to piss people off with it. Basically, this affects anyone with auto join on invite turned on using mIRC (this works with the latest versions, and everything above 6 seems to work, haven't really tested), which is off by default. Third party scripts like no-name script will stop this (check the join alias in it for why). A simple /ajinvite off will turn this option off. When you invite someone with that mIRC's autojoin will evaluate anything after the # sign. so inviting someone to channel #$me will make them try to join #<their nick>. i dunno if anythign is wrong with LCIRC but right now i cant get it. i can connect ok but when it asks me to identify the password, i type it, and click enter the text just freezes there saying *nickserv* identify "********" i cant join channels or do anything, anyone know the problem?

For the first computer that I'm going to own personally, I want to go the 100% free route in terms of software (Fedora with GNOME). Since I am stuck with satellite internet, I don't need much more than a barebones PC - just need to browse the internet, send email, be on IRC, write the occasional school assignment, etc. So, does anyone know a good online vendor that sells fully put together PC's with no OS (Windows)?

Just built my new computer with amd x2 4200+ and this video card. DEcided I wnated to try out the bf2 demo before buying it or downloading t through IRC. downloaded it from dwonload.com. ran the installer and installed the drivers that I needed for the video card (came with installer) everything ran perfectly since I have xp 1gb of ram, fast proc. ok then it came to the main screen and froze on me waited a little bit. task manager wouldn't come up so I turned it off. went on to my username and ran it again. black screen came up to readjust the display and then that black screen shrunk so I could see my desktop, my video card made a loud noise and my sytem restarted. …

Yes, I know, raster graphics are shit and can't be used for any kind of animation whatsoever.... BUT... because I'm just starting out, and want to get the basics down, I used bitmaps and Bit-block transfers to cobble together the beginnings of a simple game. Now. Hello I Just Want To No A Good C/C++ Compiler cheerz.

Since I no longer am able to play multiplayer games over the internet because of my internet connection, I'm thinking about getting a cheap laptop and, to save the extra $150, get it without an OS. I'm a teenager so price is a big issue. I'm going to put Mandrake Linux on it, since it's free but I'm not familiar with Linux yet. I have a NETGEAR Wireless router (here) but I'm not sure if the wireless card that uses it's "108 MBps feature" (here ) will work with Linux (I've used them before and the driver program is a Windows program. Anyone suggest a good wireless PCMCIA 802.11G card that works with Linux?

I switched ISP's not to long ago, to my shitty satellite internet (better than dialup at least). But direcway, being retarded, doesn't offer usenet access. As a matter of fact, their email has a 10 mb limit so I'm sticking with my Gmail. Anyways if anyone here uses a reliable Usenet (news) server and could tell me the address and (if necessary) the login that'd be great. Thanks.
