  3. Yeah your right, it has something to do with the drivers. However, without the current drivers I am not able to play CS:S at ALL. It starts cs with the window saying starting.. That window closes, and nothing happens. :P
  4. Ok thanks for help :) I'll save up some more to get the 6600 GT then ;) Shame there's no fix :( it started acting like this with D3D games since I reformated pc, always used to work fine, tried reformat again and again and didn't help :<
  5. I don't really get what you mean by settings, you mean my video settings in Source? Basically everything that will lower your fps turned off, 800x600 resolution. Anti Aliasing and stuff is off. I will get a new video card soon, problem is, I'm on a low budget. You think a "Nvidia AGP Geforce Fx5200 128Mb" can pull it off? If not, I might get a "Nvidia PCIExpress Geforce 7300 GS 256 Mb".. Max I can spend is 100 Euros.. Oh, and is there any difference between 128Mb, 256 Mb? And Tv-Out or something? I'm really not good at this, and I'm afraid I might buy a card which I can't plug into my PC.. :\
  6. Hi, I just bought a CS:S account (includes DOD:S too :O) for 500k gold in a game called 'RuneScape'. However, I always had problems when playing games that use DirectX. Usually, I solved this by adding -opengl in a shortcut. This would make the game run in OpenGL mode, which means = no problem. This does not work for CS:S, it still runs in D3D mode. The problems I get when running a Direct X game: - White/Black flashes of whole screen while playing. - After a while the flashes get more often and worse. - Then the game crashes, showing me the empty map back ground and causing sound loop, whereafter I am forced to reboot my computer. - The flashing starts when I play, instantly. Takes about 15 mins before it crashes. The -opengl command works for games such as Warcraft 3, Call of Duty, just not for CS:S or DOD:S or another HL2 engine game. I have a "Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4200 with AGPX8 graphics" card. Windows XP. My other specs do not involve this problem, so I won't bother posting them. YES, I know that my specs are bad to play CS:S, I can play it with about 40-50 fps on Direct X 7 mode. I just want to rage. Thanks in advance. PS: No retarded replies please. :( I need serious help.
