Actually, I overclocked it 7% and all it did was hold at 40C It seems that my motherboard likes to hold my CPU and GPU temps at 40C and 51C respectively.. perhaps I'll just call MSI and see if there's a way to turn the temps down.

Ok, I just went out and purchased a bunch of new computer components and built my second computer. E6300 C2D 8800 GTS 2GB of DDR2 4700 RAM Blah blah.. Anyways, I've got a question. I put arctic silver thermal compound between the cpu and the heatsink as to cool the chip off, right? Now.. looking at my motherboard, it seems to be running the cpu fan at only 2500 RPM, which is as fast as it will go... this leaves my CPU at 102 F or 39 C for you non-Americans. Is there something wrong with having the system idle at such a high temperature or are problems probably going to arise when I overclock this.. because it's still at the stock 1.86 ghz.. Also, my GPU is running at 54 C or 129 F idle.. I'm quite concerned about this because I KNOW all the fans are plugged in and should be cooling the devices off but it just doesn't seem to be working.. Any tips? (The mobo is a MSI p6n SLI motherboard)
