Wtf do you think your ISP's/hosting companies' backbones are made of? Fiber has been around forever. Go take Cisco 1 k. It's generally NOT for the average home user, lack of interest = not available. If it is available, you'd be paying a pretty penny for it.
  2. I think it's a vast improvement.
  3. I've had that happen to me too. It sucks. :\ Good to see everything back in working order though.
  4. This highlights the importance of daily/weekly backups. It's ok to admit if someone got access to an admin account or something. Forum "glitch" sounds shady (unless some fucked up query corrupted data in the database, even so it wouldn't have been that hard to fix). I've seen it happen to tons of forums. You didn't write VBulletin, so you're not responsible for bad code on their part (especially with a license).
  5. No mention of how to get myg0t's private hacks from inside the channel? :tear:

Well if they coded it similar to Half Life 1/CS, there's a spawn function for the spectator, and seperate respawn function for the players (which spawn you with default weapons). Worth a shot though.
  8. "valve fucked us" rofl so raged.

HTML is definitely not a fucking programming language, but it is extremely useful. If anything, I'd consider it more of a scripting language, since it's being PARSED.

So basically, some proxies forward your real IP address. Up to the site in question to check for a forwarded IP I assume.

Learn Winsock, how to read/write memory, how to inject code/hook into another program, and preferably ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE. There's a whole WORLD of information out there on the interweb. YOU need to go find it.
  17. Wikipedia sucks.

Instead of complaining about his code, you could always write your own. And in case you didn't notice, this topic is "stickied" in the programming forum. Check the dates of the other posts...

You can kill Zonealarm, but the True Vector Internet Monitor (Windows NT service) does the actual "protecting" of the outbound program access (I'm assuming you're wanting to make a trojan of some sort).

I never said anything about only one person needing it... And when you start a conversation with another user who has encryption installed, it clearly states on the window that the conversation is being encrypted.

Did you even read any of that site? Do you have any clue how basic encryption works? Apparently not, since you think encryption is to protect children from their parents. You're the dumbass. Sure, AOL can snatch copies of your encrypted conversation as it passes through their servers, but do you really think they'll devote the resources required to decrypt (in real time) your conversations, then pass the decrypted text through a parsing algorithm that searches for phrases? I think not. With a security certificate installed, you have the lock icon next to your name. (for extra style points)
