I was browsing the forums and found that they have a problem with a hack that allows people to join passworded servers. This leads me to believe one of two things - either 1, server authentication is done clientside or 2, passwords for all the servers are retrieved and cached clientside during server list can anybody confirm/deny this? --------------------------------- on another note, assuming so many game factors (ammo count, etc) are being calculated clientside, is it safe to assume that weapon ballistics (speed, power) can be altered as well? Perhaps collision detection, too :wow:

I found another way to piss these hicks off; One of these guns is a 17th century rifle or something, a .54 caliber rifle, and it shoots out a crapload of smoke when it fires. When you have speedhack on, you can piss them off by firing it a ton of times in front of them so the smoke blocks their shot.
