You want to go far : Perl, PHP, Java, JSP, SQL, HTTP, Solaris/Linux You want to be indispensible : JAVA:Threads, JAVA:Struts , EJB, J2EE, work some IDEs like Netbeans/Eclipse - pump out programs in hours, not days. Take on the hard stuff first. HTML/XHTML/CSS is a joke. The script languages ( JavaScript/JScript ) are crap once you've got something like Java under your belt. If you've got a CS degree - lol - don't even *bother* with getting certifications. Waste of your money & redundant. People I know - They don't give a shit if you have a paper or not. They care what you do.
