Someone wanted a tutorial so other people stop asking, and I've got nothing to do. - Installing and configuring your tools. 1) Get HLSS and Goldwave from here. Does not matter where you unzip them. 2) Open up HLSS, you should see a window with some buttons and shit. 3) To add .wav files to spam, click the green plus sign, browse for a .wav, add it and set a hotkey for it. Wav files must be properly converted to play the way you hear them in any other media player - more on this below. 4) Now you must set your output directory. This is where HLSS will copy the voiceannoys to when you press a hotkey. Just do what the pic shows, and browse for the proper directory. http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/1679/dicksandtittiesop1.jpg Now, depending on what game/mod you're going to spam stuff on, the directory changes. It's usually in a format like: ...\Steam\SteamApps\<account dir>\<game name> EG: CSS is : ...\Steam\SteamApps\<accdir>\counter-strike source GMOD is : ...\Steam\SteamApps\<accdir>\garrysmod An exception is when you're playing a mod, then you should try setting the directory to: ...\Steam\SteamApps\<accdir>\source sdk base 5) After you've added your VAs and set the micspam directory, save your config using CTRL+S. 6) Click the thumbs up button to activate HLSS. Now, when you press the hotkeys linked to the voice files, HLSS will copy them to the directory you set in options. From now on you'll just need to change the micspam directory depending on what game you want to rage. Remember to save. 7) Ingame, pull down the console and type: voice_inputfromfile 1 voice_loopback 1 (Setting it to 0 means you won't hear your own spam. Useful for the long random noise voiceannoys.) And bind a key to +voicerecord. ("eg: bind k +voicerecord") You can make a toggle by binding it like this: bind k "voice_inputfromfile 1; +voiceannoy" - How to convert your voicespam. 1) You'll need goldwave for this. You can convert lots of files at once, then edit them for more annoyance one at a time. 2) Go to File->Batch processing. There you can add multiple files to convert. 3) The settings must be: - Tick Convert to format. - Save as type: Wave (*.wav) - Attributes: PCM signed 16-bit, mono. - Tick rate. Set rate to 11025Hz. 4) Navigate to the folder tab to set your output directory. Now when you press begin, goldwave will convert all your stuff and save it in that directory. 5) Optional steps would be to mess around with maximize to make your .wav files louder. Effect->Volume->Maximize and just play around with the settings. - How to record audio off virtually anywhere. 1) Load up goldwave, and open up a new document. Size should be big enough to fit whatever you want to record. 2) Press F11, a window should pop up. Click on volume, and tick stereo mix. http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/2927/someshtkw7.jpg The slider near stereo mix allows you to adjust the volume of the recording, so if it is coming out too loud, lower it. 3) After that you can start recording. Load up or browse to whatever sound you want to record, then switch back to goldwave. Hit Ctrl+F9 to start recording, then play your video clip. 4) You should see goldwave drawing a series of spikes on the oscillograph. If you see the spikes hitting the top and bottom of the graph, it means it's too loud, so stop and lower the stereo mix volume in the F11 menu. Otherwise, just continue till you've recorded your thing and press stop. 5) You should see something like this after you've recorded: http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/3888/othershitdb3.jpg 6) You'll want to remove the stuff at the beginning if you want a voiceannoy that starts right away. Simply select it by dragging your mouse over it and press delete. Do the same to the part at the end. 7) Play around with Effects->Volume->Maximize to make it loud and annoying. 8) That's about it, save it and convert it using the guide above.
