Pistol wise, I'd say fuck the glock 9mm. Don't get me wrong its a nice light round, but it won't necessarily put someone down as as a 50 or 45 caliber round. Rifle wise, I'd say ar15 or m14. Get something that can also fire a 5.56 Nato round, as well as a .223. The armalite has a slightly shorter barrel then the m14. Also, I've seen the m14 used commonly as a semi-auto sniper rifle with the US army.

I'd say spend about 1300-1400 on a laptop. Get something that has a decent nvidia card built-in. I picked up HP dv6500 for school last august. It has 2gig of ram, a core 2 duo t7100, nvidia 8400m gs. Over-all its not too bad. I can play gears of war and a whole slew of the new games on it. Keep in mind though, the more you put into performance the shorter the battery life will be.
