This is the most overblown "emergency" to date. I can't believe the number of people that buy into this BS and spew the party line as if they went out of their way to memorize all the crap being beamed into their heads through tv. I'd say ram going bad could be a culprit. Try pulling one stick and running with just the remaining one (assuming you are running two sticks in dual channel). Then switch the sticks and repeat. If it is a bad stick of RAM, it will run fine with one and blue screen with the other. Then you'll be able to isolate the bad stick if that's the case. If you are running four sticks just work it one at a time. Do you have your rig overclocked? If so, try throttling it back a bit. Were you able to play Unreal fine before, or have you just recently installed it? Could be a bad driver but I have never had one just spontaneously corrupt. Have you installed any programs recently? Could try rolling back a week or two or three and see what happens. One last idea, it has been hot as balls the last couple weeks, could be as simple as your shit overheating. ->Bust open the case and clean all the fans and heatsinks out. Do this anyways, good maintenance. Hope this helps..

If anyone remembers the game kingpin, it was a quake2 mod, I used to mess around making skins for players and weapons on it. I would take the skins and open them in PS, they were just 2d jpegs, and mess with them and place them back into the game's appropriate directories, really easy shit. I was messing with the weapon skins once and saved them a certain way out of photoshop and when I pulled them into the game, they looked like that. Looked chrome. It was about 6 years ago, maybe more, that I did this. But I think the thing that caused it with mine was I saved the jpegs with extremely high resolution/quality (maybe a 10 on the scale that the photoshop version I was using had, don't know how the options are anymore in the proggy. So that could be what caused your gloves to appear chrome too. Try that out, or mess around with the options when you save the jpegs and see if you get a similiar result.
