Curious what proggy(ies) can be used to do this. I want to take a short video clip, insert some text into the frames, then make it into an animated gif. Just wanting to make some sigs. Also, might want to make it back into an mpeg as well. Any help appreciated. Later

I saw an article in Maximum PC about building one. It is possible. Im sure a google search could provide you with some enclosure/mobo combos and you could go from there. Im fairly certain that you will not be able to upgrade the video card in the future so choose wisely.

Its not 'uber' as you say. But it is a pretty decent system for the price. Definitely check Alienware to see what top of the line is. Then after seeing the outrageous cost of them, go to http://www.sagernotebook.com and see laptops with the same hardware in them as Alienware for about 20% cheaper. Peace

You asswipes, the guy is asking a legitimate question in an area designed for these types of questions. So stfu and troll elsewhere you lame fukkers. To help to answer your question, I am not sure what the specs of a 9600xt compared to a 9800xt are. It can easily be found on google, but Im to lazy to google your problem. The probable difference between these two cards are pixel pipelines. Simply overclocking the gpu and memory wont increase the number of pipes available in the 9600xt. I believe a softmod is the video card equivelant of a BIOS update on a motherboard (correct me if I am wrong). Softmodding the 9600 will probably open up these pipelines and increase your mem/gpu speeds. (this is all speculation of course - but Im pretty sure thats the idea). The bottom line Im getting at is "NO" increasing your gpu and memory speeds to match 9800xt specs will not give you a 9800xt. However, I have a 9800 Pro and overclocked it to xt speeds and I do have a 9800xt based on the fact that a 9800pro and 9800xt are identical cards except for clock speeds. Hope this helped?!!?! later

Be wary tho man, you can get the best graphics card in the world and it won't do a damn bit of good if you have nowhere to put it in the PC. I highly recommend building your own or having a mom and pop shop build it for you. Ensure the mobo has a PCI-E slot to put in a graphics card, or an AGP at a minimum. But AGP is on the way out (if it isn't already out). I am going out on a limb and saying there is NO WAY you will be able to upgrade the graphics on that PC, unless you consider getting an ATI Rage PCI card an upgrade. Peace.

Why not just go into BIOS and change the date to the 28th, then you wouldnt have to worrry about the shit for an entire year.

Pretty solid except for the graphics. Onboard BS, will be absolutely useless for games. Prolly no PCI-E or AGP slot on that mobo either. OEMs really like to ram your ass by denying upgrade options.

I was at my buddy's house tripping pretty hard but playing it off that I wasn't - he didn't even suspect it for a long time until I was laying on his couch using his dog as a pillow. And every time I would twitch or move my leg, the dog did the same thing, in unison. It was as if I had tapped into his dog's conciousness, wierd shit. The dog's name was Hal. Another time I was tripping with some friends and another buddy of mine wigged out pretty bad, and I was the person there that he knew the best. So I had to try to talk him down. So Im talking with him tripping my ass off trying to reel him in and his head became distorted looking - like really big at the top and small at the bottom. All I can remember thinking at one point is how to knock him out so he didn't wig out harder. I was actually truly considering bashing him in the head with a ball ping hammer to 'help' him. Crazy shit, I don't do paper anymore.

No, you can't blow them up by respawning, what you have to do it run to where you died and pick up the pack you dropped when you got killed. Then you can blow up the c4 you previously planted. Or if you kill another SF and pick up his pack, you can blow up any he planted, good luck on knowing where it is though.
