Yah on half of em, the frets aren't leveld so you end up having to get the frets dressed, usually costing half as much as what you payed for the entire guitar for. My first guitar was the lowest end ibanez on the market, the GAX30, and that thing was a very good beginners guitar, it had perfectly even frets, the action was set up correctly, and the tuners and bridge kept in tune. The pickups and bolt on neck were the only things not to hot about it

i guess if he wants shitty solid state tone ok then and i didn't ever say anyone sucked, they were just nubs as far as info went. If anyone is serious about guitar i'd suggest going to http://www.musicianforums.com this forum would be more help than mygot

Thread starter unless your serious about playing, and dedicating a serious amount of your time to even get decent, i'll ask, what type of music do you want to play? And if your only doing this as a...every now and then hobby, i would highly suggest simply getting a decent acoustic or electric guitar for aroun 300 USD. If your serious, i would recommend you getting a job, because in the end you will most likely have spent in and/or around 3-4 grand on amps, guitars, processors, and miking equipment.
