Activation is so easy to bypass. You don't even need skills. Just call up the number they give you when you fail activation, talk the the indian guy and he'll ask "are you useing this cd-key on another computer?" tell him no, and you're home free.

Two reasons: Upgradeability. In a year or so, 2GB of ram will be needed to run high end games, and, if you do any kind of video editing/encodeing ram plays a huge role in how fast you can work. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

If your processor can't keep up with your video card, then you have a bottleneck, which isin't good. If you want a good processor that open, even though the 400+ and the FX-53 are the same you can't OC the 4000+. If you don't care about that, then it doesn't matter. But, I'd keep my options open if I were you. Also, if you're going for long term goodness, I'd go with the X-2.

It's still going to suck compared to a 3700+ in gaming. Dual Core isin't in, yet.

When you do the registration thing is should give you a phone number if it's not valid, you'll speak to some idiot indian guy and he'll verify it. The key I'm useing is running on about six other computers and I have no problem. (Pro, SP1).

Have you worked with computers before? Like, installing addon cards, new procs, ect? If you haven't, you'll probably fuck up the equipment you buy. Opteron is pretty gay for gaming unless you're getting two. If you're going cheap, you'll want at least a 3700+. If you want dual core you'll want to go for the cheaper X2 proc. It's around $400 I think. The only bottleneck I see is the processor, you're processor is going to have a hard time keeping up with your video card unless you get one of the more expensive X2's or a 4000+. For ram, you want to go with Corsair. Other than those, it looks fine. If you want some help PM me and I'll send you my AIM or something.

You'd be suprised. Blizzard always pulls something off. Plus, they have a huge fanbase for Starcraft and the Warcraft series, a new RTS would do very well.
