Personally I use iTunes. Found it's search function and built in fading to be really nice. Plus with my iPod coming soon, I need it to synch (don't tell me about the Winamp plug-in cause it doesn't support iPod Video properly).

CTRL + ALT + DEL Find firefox.exe or explorer.exe or opera.exe (whatever internet browser you use) and select END TASK. If it's explorer.exe, you may have to press Windows Key + R (opens up the Run dialog) and type in explorer.exe in case it fails to reload the start menu and icons.

Not 100% sure if this works (been a while since I have tried this) but ALT + 255 (on the side number pad) gives you a "space" of sorts but it's actually a character. Not sure if they blocked it though.
