Because Windows can only support up to 2 gigs. Anyway, mine would be a server with 64 nodes, each node has 8 processors with dual cores, and 12 gigs in every node. Those are the specs of the server that my friend's dad's company uses.

For some reason this made me rifk.

Sadly, my friend never backs up his files so formatting is not an option. Hmm...how would I go about making a boot disk? I have tryed some programs but they only let me start in DOS mode which does not really fix anything.

I am trying to fix a friend's computer because whenever he tries to boot it gives an error: "Windows\System32\Config\System is missing or corrupted" or something like that. Anyway, I have been looking up help on google for a half an hour and I have found out that a registry hive is corrupted. His computer does not have Windows restore utility or w/e it is called so I have no way of repairing the file. Can you give me some advice on what to do?
