I'm glad someone likes it =]. I put a lot of effort into that sig, actually. I had to make 6 custom brushes for it, and the "font" is hand done. I actually wish I could have come up with something as creative for me, but Panzer did a great job on mine.

besides the fact the capital n was already pointed out, there was a requirement to show the cake next to your head. Now, due to his enourmous size, and the angle, tha cake could be any distance from him (so it may not be really next to him in a close proximity like "next to" would suggest). Also "next to" suggests that the cake should be offset to once side or the other of your face, not in front of. Oh well, it was still one of the better attempts. Since IE still holds the majority of internet users, I'd say they've BEEN challenging Firefox for sometime now. Also, since it's a default for windows, most people don't even know of the existance of other browsers. Also, since most Windows users aren't to "schooled" on computers, I'm sure most don't even care about other ones. I'm going to have to say that IE will be ahead of Firefox with a larger userbase for a long time to come.

If you want more recent news, Microsoft went open with it's Windows Server source code. This was due to a EU lawsuit that would insue LARGE ammounts of fines per day. I'm sorry, but this is old. This was posted on Neowin on the 22nd (4 days ago, but 3 days as of your posting this.). Also, this is not the full IE7 Beta 2. This is IE7 Build 5299 which is NOT the full Beta 2. This build does not have all of the features of the actual Beta 2 release (which isn't making its private beta test launch until around mid February) will have. Also, when you said "Source," I thought you meant source code as well. Apparently, according to several sources, Source Code IS available out there for IE7 Build 5299. But yeah. If you keep current some what at all would know that upon the concept of Windows Longhorn and IE7 (both being launched at the same time, as well as Windows XP SP3, IE7 was said that it will incorperate tabbed browsing.
