My CPU is normally 54C on load 38C on idle. 50C is not that hot for a new CPU. Firstly, thermal compound when its new is not as effective as it will be say a few months down the line. Just make sure you have your intake fan at the front, intake from the side and rear outtake fans all hooked up and getting the airflow right. Also the Zalman Aeroflower CPU coolers are awesome, I got the 9500 and i just installed the 9700 for my friend yesterday, which is bigger but not by much. Good luck
