It was me turning his plate number in and verifying his truck and his facial description that led to them surrounding his house for 6 hours the week before he was caught, and ultimately, led to catching him. I found it a good human interest story. Nothing more. Now, in the middle of it, if some morons are going to attack me and make assumptions that aren't true, I'm going to correct them in order to defend my decision to install security measures on my dwelling. I'd also invest heavily in the steel industry. Then in the 60's, I'd take all the millions that I had made and become a venture capitalist, looking up a young fellow in the 70's named Bill Gates and fund his little micro-company called Microsoft. I'd also use my wealth and power to befriend Warren Buffett and work closely with him. Oh yeah... I'd also look up a fellow in the 60's by the name of Sam Walton and use my venture capital leverage to fund his little single site "Wal-Mart" store at the time and help him grow, for a rather generous piece of equity, of course. Nice try, ngr. Only $25/month for the security system to be monitored, and they GIVE you the hardware. It's very affordable. The cameras were about $1500 with the DVR. I don't live in a "neighborhood", ngr. I live way out in the middle of nowhere (by choice). My closest neighbor is a mile away. I'm surrounded by about 50 acres of woods, BY CHOICE. Get a life.

What are the chances that if somebody breaks into a house where nobody is at, and sets off five alarms so loud that he can't go anywhere in the house without plugging his ears, and most of the lights (X-10 light system) are flashing on and off, that he's going to spend 30 minutes in there ransacking the place? Caught his dumb ass along with his brother. Both of their trucks are the two trucks that everyone reported seeing around the county outskirts in all of these more than 30 breakins in the last month. I hope they die. The fgt is 56 years old and was out on parole for "good behavior" from a 25 year sentence for murder. His fgt brother was out on parole too. They surrounded this idiot's house last week and had a 6 hour standoff but it ends up the idiot wasn't even in it... but they did confiscate both his truck and his brother's. Here's where it gets good: Since they had no more transportation and KNEW the police (BATF even got involved since they stole a bunch of firearms) were looking for them, rather than gtf out of the area, today they had some idiot drop them off at a house IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, and they were gonna rob it again. The guy that dropped them off, though, abandoned them and called the police and their asses got busted. Evidently they hid in the woods and wouldn't come out, so the sicked the K-9 on them and both ended up getting bit pretty good. I seriously hope they both get AIDS and die. 50+ year old meth addicts terrorizing innocent families by breaking in in the middle of the day rages the shit out of me. Our sercurity system is up and running anyhow... if it goes off, you literally have to plug your ears in the house. It came with one siren, but I bought 4 more and put them all over the fucking place. Cameras and security DVR will be installed next week.
