I'd say in about a month you can learn the basics, and when I say basics, I mean not programing anything that really does anything useful. Once you learn the basics consider learning an api.

That's exactly what I am learning right now. ASM. With ASM you have full control over what you're doing, you can make much smaller and advanced things than other languages, but it is very complex.

Well I'm not sure you can get the smoke things by themselves, use a hack like ECC or FSP. Just disable eerything except the smoke.

Yes, C++ is the most powerful I have encountered, other than asm, which requires alot of skill. Also people say C++ is hard to learn.. I find it alot easier than Visual Basic.

The ones that I find work the best are Endorphine v4, and FuriousSP, though I prefer Endorphine.

In my oppinion, Delphi pwns VB by a long shot. Sure, VB is easier to learn and probably has more support, but Delphi is by far more powerful than vb. Also, if I had to say the most powerful language, it would be ASM. Very refined but it takes alot of time to code in. But I'm not one to judge.. I'm going by features I know. I don't know alot about Visual Basic, because I have always used C++ and Delphi.
