last time i got pulled over it was by a guy who was in a big white suburban who didn't even have a siren. he just had his high beams flashing at me, and kept turning on his signal for me to move before 5 regular patrol cars showed up and i realized i was supposed to get off. :\ p.s. the detector can--theoretically--pick up on signals, even if they aren't beaming it right at you
