WTZ DUBLE POTS

Yes, I know this isn't the Help Forum, but nobody reads that, anyway so I'm posting here. It seems that some of the games/apps that I have terminate themselves immidately after they've started. UT for example, it loads the game then terminates the process. To get the games to work, I have to disable my Plug and Play driver and my sound driver. I don't care about the Plug and Play, but one of the programs is Cubase, a program used for making music which is pretty much useless without sound. Any suggestions?
