Thanks a million eZ. It's half guesswork since it's a cheap case, and I'm currently thinking it'll take an act of god before it works flawlessly, but it's coming along. One weird thing I've noticed is that the case's front mic and audio jacks hook up strangely. Strangely as in they're just an extension from another jack. They hook up like a headphone or a microphone would, and just run from some empty jack to the front, providing an empty jack. It's fucked up because the only way to hook that up would be running the cords out the back of the mobo and plugging them into the mobo's onboard jacks. Anyway there's not much more I can do tonight. I've got to order a fan for the processor and I think an extra case fan. But thanks again for all the help, I've made some good progress.

Thanks. It's helpful, if a bit dated, but your info's been useful. I'm getting what I can assembled, and I've already got some more questions: I've got a SATA hard drive. Do I need to do anything special with the setup of my two IDE disk drives? Or, more simply, does the following make sense: I take the three-sectioned power supply cord that connects to the power inputs on IDE disc drives and the SATA hard drive, and I connect them in whatever order they fit in. I connect the IDE cable to the IDE1 socket on the mobo, then to the two disc drives in whatever order. Hopefully none of the ordering will matter and It'll work. Also, I don't have a 1.44mb floppy drive. Will I be fucked when I try to install Windows if the hard drive requires special drivers? I ask because on my own computer, before any windows install I have to use a third party driver (on a floppy) to install. I'm not too worried about this, but I've never built a pc before. And I'll thank you all again for the info. It's been very helpful. If someone has another guide to building a pc (less dated) I'd appreciate a link so I can supplement and cross-check the one already posted.

Thanks for the advice. Few more questions though: Do the dimensions really matter? They don't seem to be standardized really, and I'm lazy enough to assume that I don't have to measure parts of the mobo to figure out how many millimeters they are. How perfectly does it have to be seated on the processor? Obviously it has to make full contact and I need thermal grease between the two parts, but is there anything obvious I should check before powering on? I know processors without enough cooling do very bad things. One last thing: Does anyone know of a good site with a thorough step-by-step guide to building your own pc? I've never actually assembled one from parts before, but following instructions isn't a problem. Thanks again. I appreciate it.

I like the font you have for the part that says "DieseL", but the one below is hard to read, in part due to the unevenness of the glow effect on it. also, hand drawn text or something would be good for the DieseL part, because the e's look the same.
