yeah was reading this on extremetech's website and i saw that they also switched their microproc manufacturing to a 90 nm core instead of 110. This gives lower power consumption, less cooling needed and an overall lower price. The clock speed was also raised too to 650 mhz to match that of ATi's x1900xtx even though the 7800GTx still could beat it with a lower clock speed and less pixel shaders in the benchmarks. too bad i didn't buy one of these before i bought my 7800.
