yeah i already treyd the first thing with the registry editor but it does nto work because i do not have a listing under WPAevents probably because of my old version of xp. it is already activated though, since its corp. the last thing i will try but i wonder what command do I have to put in when i go to the recovery console in my setup for sp2 to change the cd Key?

i use the new windowsblinds 5 and i like it a whole lot better than tune up utilities. i also installed vista intrapack which was also pretty cool.

well im actually upgrading to sp2 since a couple of people know that i have the old 2002 version of xp. I was a stupid shit in doing this because when i installed this to my hardrive i forgot that i had sp2 in another case and installe dthis one after i had put all of my porgrams on there. (close to 90). i updated since i have a legit corp verison and did until i got an update for sp2 which i needed for my usb2.0 support (have pci card with two slots) and IE6(mostly use Mozilla though) and any other uses i would need it for. The update didnt work since i had an invalid key, (probably because M$ didnt recognize my old key even though its legit) Anyway I dled the corp verison of sp2 and i tryed it out on a virtual machine and it works good. i still needed a way to be able to dl the update or put sp2 on my system so i tried a keychanger which didnt work after i tried like 10 keys. now i cant dl the update so i needed a way to put sp2 on my system without reformatting. Norton GHost was my only option unless theres a way to overwrite my partition and keep all of my progs which i dont think is possible with Windows (have my files saved though) Ill try Norton though, see if it works. Help greatly appreciated.

since norton ghost creates a disk image of your drive and restores your files, does it also restore your programs if you were to put that image on another new os. never had any experience with ghost so i wouldnt know.

yeah if you have to change your cd key you can find a key changer for xp which is what i have instead of reinstalling the whole thing. you can also reinstall xp sp2 on your partition without getting rid of your programs or files by overwriting the partition that sp1 or the "prior verison" is on. pm me for the key changer as i see that is your onyl option besides overwriting the partition which i would recommend you do if you still must have the updates.

havent heard about the update check for the key but i have heard about windows having an install patch with windows updates since if you install the update, people who have cracked versions, can't dl updates. you can get around that thouhg by copying and pasting a commnad into your browser for javascript which disables it and lets you upadte agian. and yeah sittin sideways was right about installing corporate which is what i have but just can't update because of my "prior" 2002 verison of xp. im probably just going to overwrite my partition or some shit later when i have time. and yeah pm me if you want a valid corporate key. or just dl sp2 corp.

no the same thing happened to me jsut a couple of months ago. what happened what that i had two copys of xp, one sp2 and the other a verison of xp not even sp1 which was the first release of xp in 2002. i installed the first version by accident and relaixed that after everything was on my comp. i could not download the updates since i needed to install sp2 and it kept giving me an error abour a fake cd key, which was because the xp was not sp1 but a prior release. i dont know if this was your problem with sp2 trying to install but if you don't have sp1, your problem might be similar and youll have to do without updates. (in the past they have screwed up my cracked progs anyway) If the probem is that it is a crakced verison of xp then youll have to either get another key and try it or dl sp2 and create a new os. i think there is a way to put the xp os on your drive without repartitioning your whole other xp and having to reisntall the programs. this might onyl be for the new vista beta though, 5270.

most people dont know what a bat is doing even though they can read the source code. about half of the people you would send it to would not know how to open it in notepad and probably wouldnt even know what the source in the bat means. bats are too slow anyway and take awhile to progress so theyre not great for big viruses.

yeah the amd proc 4200+ that i have is a lot less for the money than intels brand whihc would be the 820 or 830 and performs better with the hyper transport bus of like 1600 or 2000 mhz and and the high closk speed for multitasking. the 3800+ is still great though and is better than intel's 600 verisons by far. for a mobo i would choose either the A8NE or the SLi versio if you are going to use crossfire with your ATI card.

no actually i wear nothung and just run around getting shot in the balls. and what i meant with dling the source code for a virtual machine is that if ******* was already compiled and either me or someobdy else hosted it on the web, i would run it so it would fuck up the virtual machine, not my comp. you could always save it to like a disk though too.

yeah t3rmight was right in doing that but since i have dsl i rellay dont need that. if you want to change your ip a simpler way and dont have dsl you can donwload hide ip platinum which is a program that can be downloaded throgh a torrent and hides your ip by finding a proxy anywhere in the world. (china, kenya, vietnam etc.)

does any body know how to mae your system freeze up and like have the num scroll and caps lock button flash. it used to be ctrl L on like the old windows 98 but i dont know what it is for xp?

use a virtual machine like vmware or m$ virtual machine and create a network connection so you can download. have one question though, i was wondering if ******* would work with just the loader.exe in the spk hook .zip archive or that you also need to compile the dll's like the file teefdll.cpp?

yeah who would pay for something with that much money which you could just spend on a brand new almost top of the line comp. my comp was about 1400-1500 and its a 4200+ with 1gig of ram, 19" samsung monitor, and a nice dmx case with raid.

i think you can ddos someone in command prompt i think by overpinging them or something to do with tracerroute. try searchign this on google.

i have the inspirat installed rgiht now and it works great for me except that you CANNOT CAHNGE the appearance or the theme or the start toolbar and your icons, and maybe even your toolbar will get screwed up. I have downloaded the new vista beta 5270 and it is a little different from the inspirat (emulating 5217 i think) including the start toolbar and other icons. the vista beta i think allows you to install to a partition and still keep all your programs and files without reformating and just installing to the same partition as xp is on. you can try either or but the inspirat saves downloading time and in my opinion is a little bit nicer. hope this helps and heres a pic of inspirat. http://www.freewebs.com/rage2967/Vista.JPG

can somebody give me a good compiler and linker for c or even c++? i have been using multiple ones and most don't seem to work for me except my borland c++ compiler, which has only compiled a couple of times for me. i have checked irc and several torrents but still can't find a good one. thanx (used the c compiler, digital mars)

if you want a free program to WATCH bin fiels just download video lan client at http://www.videolan.org. its completely free and plays anything inlcuding bin files and other file types associated with windows media, realplayer, divx, etc. that is if you want to watch it on your comp. if you want to mount them use dameon tools 4.00.
