So on another forum people are trying to make a hack for COD4 for the ps3. I was woundering if anyone here would know if this guys idea would work and if it could, how you would do it. This isnt the easyest thing to do. Alright, new PS3 CVAR commands confirmed working online. I am not sure if anyone else has done this yet, or how you guys can do this without a dev console, but someone needs to work on this, because it DOES work online. I Will tell you exactly how to do this. So far I think you can only get it to work on the new maps. At some point, you might be able to do it for ALL maps, by adding the files to your PS3 HD. You might want to download or buy the computer version of this game, just to play around with what I am saying. It works the same on ANY console. You can test it on the PC first. Anyways. Here we go. EVERY map file in the game, has a setting file with it. This file is just like the MP file in your save. It sets the parameters for what you have and can do in the map. It overrides your default save settings. They do this, so that some maps can be like they are on the moon, with less gravity, and just different things like that. However, these files have NO header check with the server for some dumb reason, but this allows you to edit the file with no problems. You can just add all of your OLD CVAR "Cheats" to each map file individually, and the "Cheats" will work on that map. I think if you follow the folder structure for the game, and make new folders with the map names that are on the main game disc, but you include a new settings file in these new folders on the PS3 HD, this file will override the file on the disc. They made it like this on purpose for future updates, incase they needed to adjust things. So you should be able to add CVARS on EVERY map. On top of that, you can change the settings to match the map, so you can jump higher, shorter, whatever you need to do for that map, you can customize it for that map. I am not sure how a normal PS3 would be able to transfer the map information back and forth, but people have been talking about PS3 Proxy and the @Home method. So maybe you can use this method to do it, as long as you already own the maps. I really do think you had to legitimately download the maps and once you do that you can use the proxy method to add the CVAR files. Let me know if you guys get it done, and on what PS3 version you used, that way I can write it down and keep the correct data for each console. Have Fun, Good luck, and PLEASE do NOT ruin this game. I still want to be able to play legit games. If you go into a game and people ask you nicely to please play legit or leave, then PLEASE honor what they say, and think about how you would want to be treated. I would really appreciate it if you guys could do this, and show the gaming community that the game "hackers" are not always immature assholes. Lastly, please give me any feedback about what helps you or what was hard, or anything I can use to help in future projects on this matter. Thanks.

Nah I am pretty sure someone here has knowlegde of how to make a virus to speard through a network and corrupt all the computers that are connected. Plus I am 90% sure I wont get caught. What even if i brought my laptop and connected it in and place the virus into the y drive and then unleashed it? How will they trace it back to me. Many people bring thier laptops to school and I dont have to do it right away. I can place it in there and than use the virus when ever and where ever at any time I want.

I can use any computer in the school and uploaded it on the y drive. Like I could uapload it in my networking class when we have a sub and we always do. We dont have asignd computers and no one will even know when or who uploaded the virus beacuse all the computers will be fucked.

Well I was making simple batch files and changeing thier image to Internet Explorer picture on the desktop so random people would crash the computers. So then I had an idea and hope you could help with my plan. Well the plan is to upload some kind of virus into the school computer's Y drive. The y drive is the drive that all the computers can connect to and are connected to from my school. I was think of putting a virus of some sort on the y dive that would speard to all computers. The problem is I dont know how to code a virus that would be able to do this job. Not sure if this would work either. I have a couple friends that are in my networking class coming up with ideas like this but I think I rather total all the computers on campus. If anyone would like to help with this plan, any help would be nice. I will post pictures when I unleash the virus and take pictures of the computers crashing all over campus from the teachers rooms, to the main office. Raging a whole school would be fun. Up to you.

I guess you havnt read up o this sniper rifle. lol Go to youtube and put in Barrett M107, you can put of 10 rounds in under 10 secs. Doesnt make you tired beacuse of how they made it.
