  1. Maybe there should be an age requirement of 15 (US high school freshman) and a small intelligence test on the forum registration page to weed people out...
  2. Don't worry! I've emailed this friendly person that calls himself 'Webmaster' ([email protected]). I'm sure he knows all about the pinnacle system! http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/4427/report7ix.jpg Have a nice day!
  3. A good way to have fun: Use a .txt editor (notepad, wordpad, word). cd C:\WINDOWS\ cmd.exe save as a .bat file wherever you can double click. Presto! Have fun!

  11. Can Nintendo say "Chapter 11"? Because that's what they'll be filing if they're dumb enough to release an unpractical piece of shit like that. Just make a dual shock clone and be done with it.

I have satellite internet (yes, I do live in the middle of nowhere), and between the hours of 1 and 4 AM my maximum allowed bandwidth consumption goes up from 169MB/45 minutes to 225MB/45 minutes. I've been toying with scheduled downloads so I can still download videos and such, but I have to leave my rig on when I go to bed. My father is very... conservative, and whenever he sees it idling he'll just turn it off and bother me about it. Does anyone know how to schedule the system to start up and log on to a user at a scheduled time? I've been using Window's 'Scheduled Tasks' to open Firefox and start the download, and a batch file to shut it down, but I have to leave the rig running for them to work.
  14. Bill gates is going to pwn him... Newsflash: macs are worthless, linux is okay but I personally have no use for it

I'm in the market for a new hard-drive-based MP3 player that is NOT an Apple product. I need it to hold around 800-1000 2.5-8MB MP3 files. Suggestions? ***Edit: Bad coding***

Unplug your modem or idle for a few hours unless you're paying extra for a static ip address.
  20. I know a guy running windows 3.x with a 286 and 16MB RAM, no 3d/sound card and he's still online.
  21. For the price of a standard power supply you could probably buy a whole new HP rig at Walmart...

Don't worry, I forwarded your question to Gabe Newell and here's what he said: "There is an invisible line in the Steam Subscriber Agreement that states this: If you can't follow basic logic and problem solving, Valve Corp. holds the right to terminate this agreement and remove the said account."
