Jack (Edward Norton) is an alienated insomniac, who goes to groups to feel better about himself.(Remaining men together,Sickle Cell, Brain Parasites) When Marla starts going to his groups he freaks out because he can't feel good about himself if there is another faker. He creates Tyler Durdon (Brad Pitt) as a symbol of everything he wants to be, as Tyler even said , "I am what you want to be, I live like you want to live, I fuck like you want to fuck" or something along those lines. Anyway, he creates Tyler Durdon as another way to make himself feel better, and then starts Fight Club as an even better way. Everything goes downhill from there, he realizes he is Tyler Durdon, and that he's about to blow the shit out of three square blocks of Credit Card companies, and stops himself by shooting himself, imagining that he shot himself in the head, and killed Tyler. Marla and Jack hold hands and watch the buildings drop. The end. k?

Yes, the book is good as well, although he acctually kills himself in the book. =(
