I'm getting my new comp in a few days, and I'm gonna go pick up HL 2 with a graphics card (budget). I've heard that the Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB has some "specs" and/or particle problems in Half Life 2. I have also heard that you need some extra shit for it to run properly like a better power supply. That shit isn't an option for me! Should I get a Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB, or will it end up having fuck ups? I'm not looking for *top* graphics, but I don't want the graphics card to have fucking rendering or particle errors! EDIT: Oh, and also: If I need to buy extra shit, can you tell me what it is? Thanks in advance.

Basically I'm on a piece of shit right now for CS 1.6 PIII 522mhz 256mb ram nVidia TNT2 Model 64 I usually get hmm, around 20-25 FPS in CS. I'm getting a new budget computer by the end of the month for school. It's probably gonna be around 2.4ghz with 512mb RAM. The video card, I don't know, but obviously budget, and I don't have the cash to buy a nice video card. I will stick with the one that comes with the system. Basically... What sort of performance will I be getting in Counter-Strike: Source? I am not a graphics whore, but I want NO lag. Resolution will probably be 800x600 or 1024x768, with medium detail. Can someone tell me how it will run with this, AND, with a graphics card below 200 dollars?
