thats not bad, i have almost the same setup as that but i built mine all up...i spent about 1400 bucks also... gig ram - 175 mobo/processor - 315 or so hdd 80? psu 50 6800gt - 400 (when i got it) plus case and other bs you could probably build it cheaper but...you'd have to wait to get all the pieces and assemble it...

The easiest wway to go about the shit is to just keep upgrading. I don't know what kind of pc you have now so I can't say what you need to upgrade. For a good pc you can get a new case if you want, most are compatable with whatever but bigger is better. Anyways you can get by with upgrading what's below: -Good Power supply, very under rated item. 50-75 dollars -New cpu, you can get a nice athlon 64 3000 socket 939 with the new venice core which you can over clock if you desire very well = 150 bucks -Mother board, 115 bucks or so -System ram, good ram = 150 bucks or more for a gig and i doubt your current ram would be compatable Graphics card, i dono what you have but 6800 series are coming down in price... anyways, really variable..you can skimp on stuff if you're low on money but you're gonna have to get mobo/processor/ram at once...nice chunk...rest can come and go when you please. Try to go PCI-e for gfx card. basic rambling shit....if you havent put a pc together before it's really not hard...if you order a mobo and processor off of newegg they'll install the processor for you and test it to make sure it works...thats the only possible thing you can fuck up is applying thermal paste to the cpu. ....Cheers

I wouldn't count on a 400 mhz stable oc for that 4000. Maybe you'll get a really good one tho. I know the new cores venice and such overclock well but....400 mhz is really pushing it. and it's not an fx so the multiplier isn't unlocked. Soooo, if you o/c that cpu 400 mhz everything else in your box is going to be smoking since you o/c via FSB or HTT. I wonder wtf is up with their rating system. 4000+ clocked at 2.4 ghz. My old 3400 is 2.4 ghz. yes half the cache and lacks the new stepping and what not...but still...you'd think they'd put a 4000 @ 2.6 or so. they have like 10 processors rated differently at 2.2 or 2.4 ghz. oh well good luck.

Eh, what's wrong with the fucking hard drive? You dumbfucks do realise it's a 10,000 rpm drive right...and that larger hdd's are slower? So you use that as the main drive so your games n shit load fast and get some secondary storage....and yeah, it doesnt matter if your video card has a gig of GDDR3 ram on it if it's a fucking geforce 2 processor. To the dude who's gonna buy that, I'd wait for what ATI has in store for us. It'll blow nvidia away i'm sure. I'm not bias, I have a 6800 gt in my box now, but ati usually does top nvidia. Also for the money you give for that 4000 cpu i'd grab a 4400 x2 and oc it 200 mhz then it'll = a 1000$ 4800. It's just a better investment. Plus you can say RAWR I have TeH 2 cores! ;D Yeeeeah and even if you do RAID 0 your two raptors yanno it's just a clone right and you do not get anymore than 74 gb of space. It's basically a clone to make it 75% faster. Reading and writing to both HDD's at once.
