^^ English Teacher. God I hate English teachers who find deeper meaning in a film or text that would have been originally intended by the creator. Look at Shakespeare, here we are writing thousands of words about obscure referances and plots, is it possible that maybe, just maybe, it was intended to be an interesting story? Nothing more? American History X is a good movie, it provokes thought and emotions. That does NOT mean that it should be ripped apart. The more you look into things like this, the more you find things that fit what you want to find. I could just as easily say that this is a movie based around facsist propaganda to gain fresh converts. Far-fetched, yes. But no more than your take on things.
