Tight VNC is great if you install it on a few machines around the school, you can fuck around when people are using them then, it's fucking hilarious. Another one is booting into a UNIX rescue floppy/cd (like knoppix), and formatting the hd's with gay file systems like FAT16.

Haha I used to FreeBSD-STABLE and NetBSD-CURRENT on the desktop, you get a feeling of power if you spend the time setting them up for work and play. Anyway Im setting up Gentoo atm (using a customized live cd). I agree, Gentoo's actual system does lick balls. It's riddled with bugs and other shit, but the fact you can build it from source gives it the upper hand over most Linux distros. Slackware is also pretty good, ran that for a while, problem is most of the community whines and bitches when you dont build your own packages (which is a pain), and they are a bunch of zealots (like debian, that's why It ended up getting mke2fs -j). IMO BSD is alot better than Linux, but Linux has alot more hardware support and it's got more application support, you may think Linux sucks (I think it's actually better than windows nowwith hardware but if you run FreeBSD on the desktop for 2 months you think otherwise.
