problem is: Vista has only one point. XP was the first layman freind NT based system (windows 2000 was not backed by such heavy advertising as XP, and XP is alot more "pretty") So we have a USB friendly fairly stable windows. Huge improvement over the 95,98,me series. since all the awesome features of vista has been stripped away (console, WinFS), Vista has a single selling point that microsoft is pushing : DX10. AFAIK, DX10 will not be available for XP. therefor, DX10 games cannot be played on XP.
