when i did my degree course they taught java first, we were recommended the book java in a nutshell by O'Reilly ive got it and its a good reference guide, if you get stuck with anything just post in here and someone might be able to help. and for all you ppl that think that C or any other random language is better, no one cares, leave your flame starting to the flame forum, he wants help on java because thats what hes getting taught not your opinion on which language is better the end.

i think is a great idea, its gonna revolutionise gaming, arcade games are becoming more and more interactive and ppl love them, so why not have a fully interactive console in your home, ppl hated the n64 pad at first saying it was stupid and look now ever console has an analog stick and rumble pack, in a few years time every console is gonna take after this one. ok wanna know how hes doing it, hes using a bootdisk with a simple unix program on, then getting the SAM file and editing it

assembly language is 2nd generation its pritty generic so works with nearly all processors, so it dont matter what architecture the processor is weather it be somthing like RISK etc. I learnt using a program called BEBOP

ya what asterix said, but you could also try "ipconfig /renew" that maybe the cmd command ur thinking of, but that depends on your isp and other stuff weather it will work

have u tried using another website brouser like firefox, it might inject into IE or somthing, just a sugestion if your using IE that is, + there are plenty of sites that allowed u to read other websites through them, or try following links to them instead of directly connecting to them, like going through google, ideas worth a try you never know

simple answer to ur question is yes i will run fine,a pc 2.4mhz with 512 ram with a gfx card worth 200 should easy run CSS fine. And lag is internet connection not pc specs generaly speaking, oh and you say your not a gfx whore well gfx cards are important when playing a game, so when ur buying your new pc check the gfx card because they may try put in a really bad one in, make sure it not onboard cos they tend to suck, even if its a little bit more expesive to specify a better gfx card it will be worth it in the long run

i have a radeon 9800 pro only 128mb and i run everything in medium and it runs great you can get those pritty cheap now, so if your just wanting a quick fix somthing like that may be a good idea otherwise if your looking for a gfx card for the long run id follow omps advice
