I got it today and been playing around with different settings and such. I can really tell a difference in music. Its crisper and just more crunchier (not sure how to describe it) I listen to mostly rock/hard rock. In game so far is sort of difficult. UT echo's if i enable eax and i really dont like the echoes. Bioshock is also a pain so far. Im playing with settings in game and with the card itself, at first the highs were really fucking high and now its better. The sound is a little fuller so to say. I didnt have enough time to play around with my 5.1 speakers with it yet so that should be fun. My Sennhaisers sound great with it though. Ill really have to sit down (when i have time) to test it out on all my games and demos (20+ :happysad:) to see how it does overall. Not bad for 80$ but it makes me wonder if i would of spent another 50+ and got an even better card what the difference would be.

I finally ordered one. I went with the Creative Xtremegamer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102006 Its a 7.1 and i only have 5.1 speakers, but i think paired with my Sennheiser headset i should be good. Ive never used a sound card (except for a 3 year old live card) So im sure it will make a major difference to someone who has used onboard sound for 5 years.

Old, plus its just plain stupid. If you're too cheap to just go buy pot or drugs (I say "pot OR drugs" because pot really shouldn't be considered a drug) then you shouldn't be doing them in the first place.

Buy it and just sell the motherboard and/or vista and just take the money you make off of them for Vista Ultimate and a new MB? You'd end up spending a little more but not a whole lot i would think.

The pig grinder in the 3rd one was pretty bad. Not only having to deal with the shock of it all, and the smell. But the fact that you might be drowning in liquid pig parts is disgusting.

They are pretty much the same. Blue Ray to me looked just a tad bit better. And if they were exactly the same then there wouldnt be this "War" over which one is going to stick around. I have an Hd TV. I bought Transformers HD and had no clue that it wouldnt play in a regular dvd player. ( i should read up more) I should have also mentioned that if i decide to go with BR or it looks like BR is going to be the format on top i might as well buy a PS3 since its maybe 50 to 100$ more than just a stand alone BR player. Im going to wait untill Black Friday now. That will give me a glance at what might come at Christmas time. Plus there are rumors of a PS3 price cut around December.
