Like a few other ppl have said, its just a trend just like emo, goth, or w/e. It will pass with age. I am proud to say that my generation invented all that dumbshit (or most of it) so i know from experience that it will pass once you start making monthly payments on your increasing credit card statement, morgage on your house, or feeding your 7 kids.

why not just dl the cd? if you have a decent connection you can get it in a few mintues with no protection then you can just burn it with wmp or winamp or w/e.
