I was the one that told him how to do it. :naughty: It'll probably be out after the first beta though. They've already addressed 2 of the methods I've found that crash servers, but the one Russ and I are using hasn't (But that usually doesn't matter).

Fake space does not work for 1.6, it doesn't support non-standard characters in your name (For the most part). I don't think there is anything that is similar to that solid-in-spec exploit for 1.6 . But for some reason, when I read that, I though of this.

In Gold Source games (Half-Life 1 games) you can add a quote ( " ) after your name in the Friends List and that will allow you to be unmutable. Finding PS isn't too difficult. Like the others have said, torrents work pretty well and Limewire can work if you're lazy. But if you don't want to bother with having to pirate stuff, you always have a few alternatives. Paint.NET A free windows photo editing program. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard good things. GIMP Another free, but multi-platform photo editing program. Very good for something that's free.

The spamming method is so old school. However, this is Source, there's not too much you can do about that... Also, link me to Badazz's Spam Script. (I thought he only made a 1.6 pack, did he release a new one while I was gone?) God, I need to jump on scripting for Source.

I didn't mean drop the same Glock repeatedly, I meant the whole process in general. I.E.: Buy Glock, Drop, Buy, Drop, Buy, Drop, etc. I'll test my crappy little script when I get a chance. It should just buy a glock and drop it repeatedly, maybe I've forgotten how to script. But also note, I mentioned it works best with more than one person, all having $16000 ($400 a Glock = 40 Glocks a person, that means 4 people doing it will drop around 160 Glocks). Also note, I said I didn't test it. Ah yes, I know it was either 102 or 202, thanks. There you have another method to crash servers, although you can probably do some more maniacal things to an sv_cheats server than crash it. The same could be said about the gun drop script. The same can be said about any method to crash servers, actually. As far as I know, you can't search servers for individual AMX plugins. However, these servers might have something in their title, signifying the use of said plugin. Sorry I caused that bit of confusion with my poor grammar. However, if you used/read the script, you'd have seen what I was trying to get across. On a different, yet related note, another way to crash a server (May not crash, but causes great lag most of the time) is to get about 4-6 people in a server (the more the better) to spam the microphone. Nothing to explain there. Another similar concept is to have a bunch of people to spam smoke grenades. Most likely won't crash a server, but can possibly lag people to the point of intense annoyance. There are some good spots specifically on Dust (original) I can show later if you guys don't know (Directly in CT spawn).

A very vague question in that there is more than one way to crash a server. For example, j017z0r (or Q-bAll as he likes to be called) gave you a script that can crash some servers within seconds, some within minutes, and some not at all (Due to AMXX, and things of that nature). This can be used in most instances, just to see what happens. If you get a "positive" result, have fun ruining a server for a good while, if not, you can try a few other methods. Another method that I find to be extremely easy to do, and has a high success rate (Maybe I'm just lucky) is the good ol' gun spam. Simple concept: Get $16000~ buy a Glock and drop it, repeatedly. Works wonders if you do it with 2-3 other people at the same time. Here's a quick little script I just wrote to help you with this (Untested): alias WD.Glock "glock; weapon_glock" alias WD.Etc "WD.Glock" alias WD.x "special; wait; WD.Etc; wait; drop" alias WD.T "WD.On" alias WD.On "alias _special WD.x; WD.x; alias WD.T WD.Off" alias WD.Off "alias _special; alias WD.T WD.On" bind "key" "WD.T" Right when I finished that little script I drew a blank on the next way to crash servers... All I can remember is cheats had to be on and it had something to do with spamming an Impulse commands. I'm sorry for leaving this post incomplete, tiredness is getting the best of me. I'll finish this up when i get more sleep or suddenly remember the next mehtod.

Have you tried to install the trial previously and it already expired? If so, you're probably going to need to do a little registry makeover. I used to have a program that did it for you, I'll look later tomorrow if that happens to be your problem. Another problem might be you're using Vista. Not quite sure how valid that guess is.

I kind of laughed at that considering you're listening to them on an iPod (I'm friends with a ton of audiophiles). However, is it only with this one song? Have all of the old songs on your iPod turned to the same, weird quality? Have you switched headphones/ear-buds recently?

You can use most of those multi ISO programs like Iso Buster to open it, but that particular file type is for Nero. Side Note: Even though I happened to know the file type, Google can usually throw back a sensible answer. http://filext.com/
