Ok, now I know you aren't entering the commands in properly. I tried listening to that in normal sound quality, sounds shitty like every other song, but you can make it out. I also tried listening to it in good sound quality, crystal clear. You need RCON to be able to use those commands I gave you, by the way. Let me see the file. If it's bad with speex and voice quality 5 it's one of two things. A) You messed up converting it or B) Or you didn't enter the commands properly. Or secret option C) The song is just that bad for the mic. (Did you put in those commands on someone else's server? Those are server commands, just for clarity's sake.) EDIT: Also, I did watch the video (Which is kind of pointless, actually) and the answer is simple, but kind of stupid. Some songs just work better than others with the default voice quality/codec. Sorry.

They can mute you, it just won't take effect until after you stop talking. All they have to do type 'stopsound' though. Also, Ejaculeet, your sig is missing a 'U'.

Sometimes you can't do much about bad quality. Reducing/Increasing the volume, bass, or mid does the trick sometimes. But for the most part, it's server side. The commands are: sv_voicecodec voice_speex sv_voicequality 5 I think it's 1.6 only by the way.

If a song has a lot of static it's usually because of the bass. Always the bass in my experience. However, generally there really isn't anything you can do about shitty song quality sometimes. Usually when I had a bad song I would either: A) Ask the admin to change the voice quality ('sv_voicecodec voice_speex' and 'sv_voicequality 5') or B) Reduce the bass, mid, or volume until desired quality is achieved. (Try all three at once, reducing by 10% each time. It usually does the trick for my friend.)

To be honest, I don't have a clue why so many people have trouble with HLSS and the like. Lots of tutorials, with free programs no less, and people just can't seem to convert them right, can't change out songs properly, can't find where to put the script/song... It never ends. In short, be sure the file is: 16 bit Mono, 8000 Hz .wav file.

You're right. Just add that to the end of your Friends Name. It's 1.6 only as far as I know.

I don't really rate stuff, so I'll just tell you a what I think needs a little fixing. Red and blue are contrasting colors. It would have looked better if you balanced them out a bit more, but all the red is on the left and blue on the right. The background looks pretty stock. I've just gotten tired of seeing all these sigs with the '3D render turned in a brush' background sigs. Text needs to stand out a little more, dark blue on dark blue doesn't really match unless you do something to the text.

I've never scripted for CZ before, but I'm pretty sure anything that works in 1.6 will work in that. Maybe not special or m_pitch loops though, need to have the game to be sure or do some research, and neither of those are happening.

Scripts are merely a list of commands, executed in order from top to bottom. Just add that command into a script with whatever else you want. Also, this quote is pretty ironic, if I do say so myself.

I'm pretty sure you can't script a console command based script to control Winamp for Source. But then again, I don't script for Source. Maybe you were looking for a 3rd party application, though...
