So as part of working at an approved retail chain, I get an exclusive deal through Intel. I get this neat package. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail Intel BOXDG33TLM LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium DVD - Retail All for $219. So I know this is a killer deal and I think it's time for a new system, my current PC is still single-core and my motherboard cannot even support dual-cores. The only part about this deal that doesn't make me instantly-purchase it is the fact that the motherboard is a micro-ATX and it only has one regular PCI slot, and my wireless adapter would take that up. Oh well, if anything I can always buy another motherboard. The price of the package is still less than just the price of the processor itself. I kind of have to make this decision by tomorrow. I'm going to stick it into my Antec 900 case (I know a micro-ATX motherboard will look retarded in it, but oh well. I'll also have to buy new ram since my current RAM is DDR 400. I was thinking about getting two of these RAM sticks. Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory - Retail The total would come out to $283 + tax. Once you've played the game so long, it's no longer interesting. Hacking can add about another 2-3 months worth of entertainment, after that, we (I at least) moved on to the always fun raging.
