  1. So how come I am not featured on this magical list? Perhaps because I announced the terrible secret of space when I resigned so you must deny that I ever existed?
  2. This is why I like Japan more, scantly clad women are used to promote just about everything from auto-shows to game-shows and even used in normal television commercials. And not a single person makes a moral anal retentive uproar about it. http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/photospecials/graph/050916gameshow/63.jpg http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/photospecials/graph/050916gameshow/173.jpg The only thing that kept E3 interesting was the games and the women... Now that theres no women all you got is games and hardcore ugly nerds with a lot of testosterone and body odour.
  3. FD3S is american and Japanese fool. It's RE-雨宮 modded RX-7. The performance modifications aren't obvious because they aren't the types who specialize in stickers, spoilers and body kits. you're looking at system mods like Fuel computers, modified intakes, down pipes shit like that. Easing the stress on the turbos and decreasing the chances of engine explosion since FDs were prone to engine detonation cuz of the turbo. EDIT: A key REー雨宮 mod that is evident in many of their RX-7s is the removal of the popup headlights as seen there. This improves aerodynamics during night races.

    I can provide an explanation for it. They created a compilation of different fads on the famous http://www.2ch.net forum and animated it and made a video out of it. 2ch.net is where the densha otoko drama took place and is a site famous because a bunch of its members organized a mass suicide. Anyway the forum has over 2 million posters who post totally annonymously and people who use names are either newbs, admins, or wannabe celebrities. In rare cases they are celebs like Densha Otoko was. 2ch.net is the BIGGEST forum on the internet, and a lot of the weird drawings and animations you see there are based on the mass amounts of ASCII Art that the 2channelers put on their forums to express emotion or words of congrats condolence or insult. Example: キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━ !! Translation: (YES!!!!!!)
  6. Watch it for yourself and then we'll talk about intelligence.
  7. North koreans made this and the Japanese found it and put japanese subtitles. There are also english subtitles. The initial voice is a japanese announcer. http://www.robpongi.com/movies/fkfkusa.mov Freezy helped me find this
  8. 2ch is a useful forum with over 600 categories. 4chan is run by a mexican reject who graduated from "Mexican Studies" in university. 4Chan is nothing but hentai and anime pics and there is nothing positive out of it compared to 2chan.
  9. I JUST WATCHED IT THE FUCKING TV SHOW IS FUCKING AMAAAAAZING ALL MUST SEE IT EITHER FOR ITS MAKE FUN OF JAPAN VALUE COMEDY VALUE OR IF UR A PUSSY THE LOVE VALUE FUCKING STORY IS FUCKING AMAZING HE ALMOST COMMITS SUICIDE IT FUCKING OWNZ ┃ ┏━┃ ┃┃ ━┏┛ ┏━┃ ━━(゚∀゚)━━┛ ┃┃ ━┏┛ ┛ ┃ ┛┛ ┛ ┛ ┛┛ GO GET IT
  10. I'd like to see you find the guts to stand up to a potentially dangerous rapist. You'd probbaly just sit back and ignore it like the rest of the crowd. The fact that he chose to do something about it while others would "rather not get involved" is made him a hero.
  11. Heres a subtitled Episode 1 for anyone whos interested. http://walle.edwardk.info/[walle]_Densha_Otoko_-_01_XviD_[07276598][1].avi.torrent
  12. Not to mention that Japan is one of the only few countries on the planet that have computer related pop-culture mix in with the mainstream pop. The only computer related ads you see in USA or Canada are corporate level ads while in Japan they'll advertise all the other stuff.
  13. Hahahahahah I wonder if the guy's from Soft On Demand made this Maybe thats why he was arrested. But really it's not that unusual, its no different than things like CKY3, Jackass or Tom green, Just out of this world humor... or even porn. Japan has less rules when it comes to what kinda stuff the media shows so u get twice the entertainment value.
  14. 僕は日本語三年くらい勉強しました。 残念が、授業は余り良くなかったから、今は未だうまくに喋らないんです。 The 2 main characters for the Drama Hermes (エルミス) - The nickname for the girl on the forums http://www.fujitv.co.jp/denshaotoko/photo/cas_saori_01.jpg TrainMan (電車男) - The nerd http://www.fujitv.co.jp/denshaotoko/photo/cas_densha_01.jpg Seem to be married ( like the actors are married since they share the same last name). I think the real people were put in as the actors for the drama so some of the scenes might not be acting. Heres a preview trailer for episode 6. http://wwwc.fujitv.co.jp/bangumi/mov/drama/denshaotoko/050811denshaotoko.asx Just so you get an idea of what it is... Its pretty funny cuz it shows imitations of the internet people. Everyone else except you. Are you raged that my fans outnumber you? That your asshat attempt to discredit my post turned out to backfire against you when you realized reasonably intelligent people frequent the forums? Whats that sound? I think it's Splatt smacking his head against the keyboard in frustration realizing i'm getting more attention than he is. And i'm not even trying! rifk
  15. The drama is hot shit, if I find subtitled downloads somewhere I'll post links for anyone whos interested.
  16. Uhuh? As much as I despise the korean race to the point of unconditional mass genocide I have to say white people can't be any smarter. Just look at the countless ebaumsworld videos. Kids shaking up makeshift explosives only to have them explode in their hands, attempted lightsiber construction using petrol and fluorecent tubes only to have that explode and cause injury. Voulontary curb stompings etc etc. The list goes on an on, white ppl take even greater risks. This guy clearly took the game a little too seriously and died because of it as he made it his life's objective to be the best. Note that death by video game is not a very OBVIOUS danger. While it's true that you can die from exhaustion it's very difficult to notice this when you're addicted to a game. Americans blatantly do something CLEARLY dangerous and get owned for it. But what about all the people in America who imitate what they see on TV and face injury or even fatal results? Like I heard this story of some kids watching a video or playing some video game and then strangling themselves to death because it was the "cool thing" to do.
  17. はい私は日本語を話す でも私の才腕が乏しいです It was a hit due to its audacity. It's not often a complete loser on a subway train bulids up the guts to save a woman from a potentially dangerous subway groper then through forum help alone managed to adjust and boost his personality and appearence to the point where he actually gets the girl and the girl even ignored more attractive men in his favor. In short the entire story is nothing short of a miracle. The impossibility of it, the idea of a lost cause and someone who keeps trying despite all odds against him is a popular theme among the Japanese and examples of this is the famous Denpa Shonen spinoff Nasubi. In Nasubi a man was kidnapped by tv producers stripped naked and left in a bare apartment trapped inside. There was a stack of magazines and post cards and a few pens and the idea was that he was suppoed to figure out that he has to WIN his freedom. Essentially he had to write into magazine contests to win things like TVs, food, etc. The purpose of the show was to show the japanese people that Japanese mass media has so many contests that one could theoretically live off them. This proved to be true much to his unfortunate life. He was cooped up in there for a year. And they did it 2 him twice and one of the times was in Korea and he cant' speak korea. What made the show special was he never gave up, he never went insane (well at least not to the point of giving up), he kept pushing on and kept trying to make everything funny. In his solitude he gave stuffed animals personalities and talked to the TV in an attempt to simulate people as he didn't see any for a whole year. His persistance against suffering and lonliness is what made it a popular show. EDIT: Millions of people accross the country followed his life live over webcam. But important segments were broadcast on TV. They actually had to move him to a new apartment because his secret location was revealed to the public and they were afraid his fans would try to bust him out.

  21. Now that all the insignifcant high pitched breighing of clueless farm yard animals is done, who with any actual has significance on this forum cares to comment?

  23. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2ch Between March and May of 2004, an anonymous user posted in a thread for single men to decry their woes. His post detailed an event that had happened that day as he was riding the train. According to his account, he was sitting on the train when he noticed an attractive woman. Suddenly, a drunken man entered the car and bothered many passengers, who did not offer any resistance to his disturbance. This man then began to badger the woman, and seeing no one else coming to her aid, the poster took the risk of telling the man to stop bothering the passengers. The two struggled for a short time while the other passengers used this distraction to summon the conductor, who took control of the situation. This poster was an extremely introverted, socially inept otaku. Never having done such a thing before in his life, he was amazed to find that the woman was thanking him deeply for saving her from harassment. They exchanged addresses and parted ways. The poster, upon returning home, began talking with other posters in the thread and was nicknamed "Densha Otoko" (Train Man) for his bravery. A bit later, Densha received a package from the woman he had saved. This package, originally thought to be a generic thank-you gift such as one would buy in a drugstore, turned out to be an expensive tea set. Flabbergasted, the he turned to the 2channelers for advice; he was soon convinced that such a gift was too expensive to be a mere thank-you gift. Densha contacted the woman and began meeting her regularly, all the while posting updates and conversing with other posters. Following their collective advice, he got a haircut, purchased new clothes, and began to come out of his shell. After a while of seeing her, his personality had changed for the better and this culminated a few months later in his confessing his love for her. She accepted and when the 2channelers were informed of this there was a mass celebration; posts began flowing in congratulating the new couple, extravagant Ascii Art pictures were posted. Because 2ch has an enormous impact on net culture in Japan, this story quickly spread throughout the media and became an instant hit. Its almost fairy-tale-like simplicity and emotional power drew people in, and a copy of the original threads was successfully published in a printed book. Since then, there have been four manga adaptations of the story, as well as a feature film which reached #1 in the box office upon its release, and there is a TV live-action drama currently airing as of this writing. According to Densha Otoko and Hermes (the nickname of the woman, so-named for the brand name of the tea set she sent him), they are still together. ________ You think somethingawful is an influnetial forum on the internet? Think again. Slashdot? SlashNOT The biggest forum on the internets is a forum called 2chan. http://www.2ch.net This is a Japanese forum with about 10 million visitors daily. But who would've thought it would gain so much influence that a hardcore nerd would use this forum to successfully change himself to a point where he ends up fucking a really hot chick. I personally posted in 2ch myself a couple of times and it truly goes with the Japanese flavor of "Catering to every possible audiance" this thing has everything from serious political conversations, to myg0t style forums all the way to HARDCORE DISGUSTING pr0n.
