  6. ALMOST 10GRAND....jesus.. you can get an LS1 equipped vette w/moderate mileage/wear-n-tear for that much. I dont know how you feel about vettes.. but seems to me that other than the novelty of pwning folks in a v8 powered 240, i'd have to stick w/the vette.. but hey its your money and your choice. :gaysex2: Know anything about a factory turbo 280 z. theres a tan/orange one in my apt. complex that is for sale... looks to be in gr8 condition. even has the turbo emblems on the sides of the fenders... Ive looked on the net recently for any info as far as problem areas and whatnot..   7. its ok bro... i got a call from the kid... he said that his dad thought that 600 was a little short considering all the work thats in the motor... so ima go talk to him tuesday after work and see what kind of deal we can work out. holy shit a ls1... ftw is right... man how many jars of vaseline and how many shoehorns did they use to fit that fkr in there... is it stock or modified?
  8. as i stated before I know next to nothing about the import community other than they get gr8 gas mileage and are mostly front wheel drive. Given the evident disdain of your post i'll take a shot in the dark and say a 1.4. but back to my other questions about the integra: 1) 3 or 4 door 2) manual or automatic 3) any pix? I am seriously considering your offer... but with out a litte more info I can't really commit to anything now can I? Also on a scale of one to ten with one being a little paint needed to ten being total reconstruction how bad is the front end damaged?
  9. Ummm I know next to nothing about import cars.. but I'm willing to try anything once... post any pix you got and ill pm ya a phone number. We'll discuss the particulars. Note: Will be atleast a month before I can do anything.. Will need to arrange a spot in a friends garage to do any needed work to it. (putting fenders on any engine mods required before said fenders are put on...etc. etc.) Im off to do a little research into what a 91 ls integra is capable of. peace ::EDIT:: Have done a little research, a few questions... 1) 3 door or 4 door 2) manual or automatic (im almost afraid to ask after our last discourse over at) 3) is the front clip intact since its missing fenders? (and why is it missing fenders anyway, accident?) PIX PIX PIX pictures are worth a thousand words. Post em if ya got em.

HA you think youve got problems... i checked into the lx... the guy wants 1100 and its got BULLET HOLES in the body... two in the panel between the door and the rear quarter glass... one in the UPPER FRAME of the door and one in the roof where the door meets... i laughed in his face when he told me what he wanted. First off the car is rusted and in bad need of a clutch.. not the clutch quadrant cable that the standard mustang NON-SHIFTER is famous for stretching, but the actual clutch.. the guy tells me that he parked it when the clutch went out but there are signs of that being bs. There are BIRDSNESTS under the hood. This car will need atleast 2500 in paint and bodywork.. then theres the 300 clutch assembly (might as well get the whole thing just to be sure) then the trouble of pulling the engine out, apart, and checking everything... if he's full of it about the clutch theres no telling what else he's bsing me on. Add that to the fact that i realy dont know any reputable mechanic shops/body/paint shops here in b-ham, which means that i have to trailer this bitch about 170 miles back to the sticks back in miss to where i know folks. This isnt a bad project car but for 1100 ... he can keep it. I made him a 600 offer, he's gonna talk it over with his dad and get back to me (so he sez). Now if memory serves me there's someone on these forums from b-ham, and i hope he knows the inside scoop on a few places around this fkn place. If he would just be so kind as to pm me or something w/some info i'd appreciate it gr8ly. gl on the bumper n all for the eclipse.
  11. well... tell ya what i get the lx n ill post the before pix and pm you a cell number to contact after its fin if ya want to run 'em. Nj on the previous's sale.. trust me i know about man hours... the first one was a 4 cyl. wrecked and rusted before i took it to where it was... so were talking about major man hours involved... worst part was the wiring of the car. Thank god for Painless wiring. peace
  12. true enough... you got me there... 170 k damn thats a stiff pricetag... hold on let me check my magic treasure chest... ummm nope not quite... im around 160 k short.. damn... anywhoo... but i hardly think 170k is more than ill ever see in my entire life... also not sure B-ham is what i'd call a poor section of the country when there are SOOO many more deserving places for that title.. or those titles.. w/e. anyway it matters not... in the event i end up with the 87 ill let the guy in p-cola know about it and go see him and his eclipse after 6 months of ownership. peace

I spent alot of time and energy (not to mention money) on that car... its a soft spot for me ... therefore you have my apologies for the brash way i reacted when I felt you were insulting me and what was my baby. Also I wouldnt be quite so quick to assume that I wouldnt be able to afford anything were I you sir. Yes I have heard of Holt. I have a friend named pat who lives in p-cola and he has mentioned it before. That being said I cannot race the car anymore as I do not own it. If you'll notice in my above post its all listed in past tense <sic> those pix are over a year old. Since moving to B-ham AL. I have gotten married and am about to have a baby, so with many a tear shed I sold what was my passion in favor of a more family oriented vehicle... its a slow 1998 blazer. But it holds the stroller and the carseat and what ever bag of junk my insane preggo wife can think to put into it. HOWEVER I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING INTO AN 87 LX THAT IS JUST BEGGING TO BE BOUGHT, MASSAGED, AND RE-RELEASED ON THE UNSUSPECTING WORLD. Let me see what it can be had for and what not and give me six months after initial purchase and we'll see what your Mitsu-BARNEY eclipse can do. Also not sure who asked but yeah I ran the car at the 1/8th mile track in Meridian Miss. that I lived close to. And yes I did run some track cars on MOTOR alone... no power adders... and NO i wasnt beaten. Before the spray I conservatively estimated the rwhp to be close to 400. After the spray 500 to 525. So yes it was a competitive car.. but No I didnt run the track cars exclusively. I may have been proud of the car but I wasnt foolish. Atleast not that foolish. I ran anything that wasnt just plain outrageous. No sense wasting my time and pride going against something with twice or better hp than i was capable of producing. I originally intended to vent and never come back here... but i must admit curiosity got the better of me... and for you gear rowers out there... the next one will be AUTOMATIC as well. So to sum it up I formally apologize for exploding on you dude.. feel free to ban the account cause i lost my temper. and as for the import lovers out there... I NEVER BADMOUTHED YOU OR YOUR CARS... i have no problems with imports hell most of them make me laugh... im not saying you cant make your cars fast.. but hell given enough time, energy, money, and an engine swap... hell you can make a riding mower fast as fuck too.... but is it really worth it? :dunno: my .02

Not that you folks will care but this car seriously kicked ass. I'd put it against ANY 500hp ricer either REAL or IMAGINED and honestly believe that it would win. In the entire time that I owned this car it was never out ran either on the street in heads up or on the track in bracket racing. all in all this car had less than 8k worth of parts with all the mechanics performed by myself and a few friends. Most expensive single thing was the fkn 7 in pulse/touch screen Kenwood in the dash. Hell even the paint was cheaper. Flame away rice lovers.
