Her parents don't need to learn to say no, her parents philosophies on life need to be changed. they find it utterly acceptable to be like this and don't understand that it hinders her child's development. So it's not her fault she's that way, it was probably her mother who, being ugly as she was, had a terrible time in high school, probably never went to college and developed her brain in any form.
