If it gets your from A to B, then it is a good first car. If it does so comfortably then that is a bonus, and if it is new then that is a MAJOR bonus because you don't have to keep fixing it. My first 3 cars were all cheap pieces of shit just to get me around. My parents old Chrysler van, then a Buick that leaked oil(among 1000 other problems) like it was raining, then a Geo Prism. The van was 10 years old, and the buick and geo were almost 20. It took me a long time to learn how to save money. Through high school I spent money faster than I could earn it. I still spend money like it is going out of style, and mostly on my ride, but I am smart enough to save now. (so that I can spend it on my ride at a later date, lol)
