Almost all the final bosses are actually models used before. Serket is a scorpion, Roc is a giant bird model used for monsters you kill at level 60ish, two of the four "gods" are repeats of lower level models. The only "original" models that have repeats that are only bosses are Fafnir/Nidhogg, Adamantoise/Aspidochelone/Genbu, Suzaku, the three super dragons, Kirin, and the summons. And Suzaku is a barely acceptable permutation of the dragons you can fight in Kuftal Tunnel, possibly even the exact same model. I never looked hard enough, was too busy pwning. And yes, I did beat FFXI. Cause I pwn like that. Square-Enix skimped fairly severely on the modelling for this game, but the environments and the music are nicely done. It's worth a run, but I wouldn't play it again if given the chance. Too many slant-eyes, too many raged Americans, and too easy to rage. Besides, selling your character to IGE isn't worth anything now.
