oh wow, beautiful comeback :/ anyways, opening a source game, alt-tabbing out and then running hook is how I start it up, because hook keeps crashing otherwise

asking_for_it, try starting CSS/DOD/HL2DM first, till you see the main menu, then press the console button(~) after that, minimize, and open the exe "miranda32" then go back into the game you'll know it worked when the console says "HOOK OK" after that, join whatever server suits your fancy, and press "insert" to bring up the menu

FYI that was over a week ago

I played for about an hour on a vac-secure server when i first got it. I can still play, so it might be safe.
