If you need a new mouse, I suggest a Wired MX518. 1600 DPI. Great precision, you can aim one pixel at a time on your screen if you want. Plus you don't get to deal with the low battery bullshit and response time. It has 5 buttons, and allows you to change your sensivity at the click of a button (On the mouse, you can customize 5 sensitivity levels). It's about 50$ CDN, so it shouldnt be hard to find it for maybe a bit more on Newegg.

If anything, don't buy the OS. Get it warezed. As for the thermal compound, do you plan on overclocking ? Else you probably won't need it.
