I could care less about Steam. I think the idea behind a software company being able to revoke your rights to software you bought isn't something an honest business would do. But go ahead side with Valve if you want. :gaysex2:

Er... I'm not too sure about that. A lot of people got familiar with Freestream.org through the cafe accounts. A lot more people now know of other ways to run Valve games without a steam client. And I have a feeling that most people won't care enough to buy another game, and probably will simply just avoid Valve products. I don't see this recent closing of accounts as being a good move on Valve's part.

You can, actually. I already did. But the CD Key no longer works. Though, I guess you can find other ways to play games on steam if you lost your other account.

Doubtful that guessing them would be a good way to explain what happened. However, you could explain that you didn't know the accounts were being obtained in an illegal fashion, and had no idea that they were, themselves, illegal. Since youy didn't take any illegal actions to obtain them, it would be hard to prove in court that taking account information posted on the web is illegal to use to log in. So I'm not really afraid of any legal action anymore. Though, if I did generate the accounts, I would be. Depends on how they acquired those accounts.

Well, whatever. Only bought one game a long time ago, so I don't care about it much. The only thing I'm worried about is whatever lawsuit they can bring up.

Probably because you never logged into your real account and your cafe account on the same IP.

Nah, you can't. Well, whatever, guess I can't sell the CDs either.

Is there anything you can do after your copy of the game gets banned? Or is the CD Key for it just invalid now?

I dunno. I do know that I may be selling my copy of Half-Life 2 on Ebay. I'd get some of my money back atleast.

Huh, well I can tell you this. I'm going to be avoiding Steam products now.

Eh.... even if they do have your address, they would have to subpoena your ISP for evidence of what you did. And if you happen to draw your IP from a pool of different IPs (like me), just call up your ISP and tell them to change you IP. Chances are, when they get to your IP, the logs on your activity will be lost. Though, to be extra careful, I would lay low for a while. Besides, I doubt the people who picked up the accounts are going to be in much legal trouble. The people who hosted the cafe accounts and generated them might be in trouble though. Steam may do an RIAA-esque thing and go after the actual provider and have scare tactics all over the place. I doubt that though. Doing something like that is time and money consuming. Edit: Yeah, they are disabling accounts. *sigh* Oh well. Not like Counter Strike: Source was much fun anyway.
  12. Wow. Sendmefile hasn't taken down a detectable Trojan yet. That's not a good response time for them...

Any vac disablers out there are either already detected or are keyloggers.
  14. Compi would suck my cock for a cafe account.

Take your keylogger else where, moron.
  16. You don't even need to see the size to tell it's a virus. Pro Tip: It says the Developer is Loki. I wonder what it might be. :drool2:
  17. Developer: Loki? What a credible man! I will download this right this minute! I hope nothing bad happens to my account details. Edit: I wonder if that site knows about the virus he uploaded yet...

  22. If you're new to raging, then you might want to begin on any of the CS:S zombie servers. You can find these servers by searching for servers using a map beginning with zm or just z. Zombie servers are possibly the easiest servers to rage. They are filled with people who are already tense about the game, and get more tense when they have to keep from becoming a zombie. The people who play on these games are also the noobiest, has the least active admins, and if they try to voteban you, the required votes are usually so high that it's impossible to get enough votes. Not only that, many of the maps contain ladders and doorways that are wide enough for only one person. Doing this alone is a sure way to rage people. The first zombie, however, are picked at random. If you find that you're the first one, go to a fairly hidden spot, and repeatedly say that you're stuck. They will eventually come looking for you. When they do find you, start running towards a person, strafe left to right fast, and hold down the fire button. By strafing back and forth, you can dodge most of their fire and take advantage of the lag most of these servers have. You, being the faster player due to the fact that zombies are given more speed then the usual player, will quickly gain ground on your victim and be able to make them a zombie. By this point, people will try to get back to their camping spots but usually will fail completely, while raging at you. Another way to rage people on zombie servers is to go into a tube someone is already camping in, and block their line of sight while holding down the fire key. This ensures that the tube camper can't see any zombies coming and can't get out, and also ensures that when you become a zombie, you'll instantly turn the person you're trying to rage into a zombie. When they become a zombie, it's also good to stay in the tube tell the timer runs out. This adds to the rage. Anyway, I hope this is helpful to some who are new to this.
