I had a patient who tried to use a syn attack. It backfired on him and he ended up like this: http://www.scielo.br/img/revistas/ibju/v33n4/n4a08fig02.jpg

Hi, I don't think we've met before. I'm your average bloke lending help where it's warranted. You can take it for what it is and think what you want. You're free to do that here, after all.

Well... different people say different things work better for them. The nicoderm patch is usually pretty effective, just because as long as you don't smoke while you're on it, it's pretty hard to get it wrong. The main issue is that you never want to use the patch and then decide to smoke, as it can cause some neurological problems. The gum is also effective, but you just have to use it correctly. You chew it until it feels a bit tingly and then push it against the side of your mouth and allow it to absorb the nicotine. A lot of people try the gum and say it doesn't work at all because they just chew it and swallow the nicotine, which doesn't get absorbed that way. The main thing is, throw out the cigs, try one of these nicotine replacement methods, and don't frequent places like clubs where others smoke and may cause temptation. If that stuff fails, then there's other medications that can be used as well, but those will require prescriptions.

No, it's more likely you had a bloody nose recently during that time and you coughed not too long after that - Most likely cause of bloody cough/sputum, especially if it happened only once. Other things to think about is, have you had any fever, weight loss, night sweats, and chills all the time? If you have some of these later signs, those are red flags that mean something else is going on such as cancer or TB. That's when you'd need to seek help. Depends on the bacteria. If you're having food poisoning, most cases are viral to begin with, which means no antibiotic would help. If it was bacteria, then it'd depend on what the culture shows. If it's Shigella, you'd treat with Cipro po just because it would shorten the duration of the disease. If your stool is Clostridium difficile toxin positive or you recently used antibiotics and think that it might be due to that, you'd need the stool tested for the toxin and be started with Flagyl po for 14 days to treat it. Most cases otherwise, however, is just symptomatic treatment by keeping yourself hydrated. Also, do not use stuff like Immodium, which actually causes the pathogen to stay in your GI tract longer. Finally, is that as far as you can pull back the foreskin? If you can't bring out the Leprechaun anymore than that, means you're starting to have signs of phimosis and would want to see a urology.

Actually, Gardasil was created because it protects against cervical cancer in women, which was found to be highly linked to HPV types 16 and 18. The reason why the vaccine exists is because cervical cancer is so common and that many cases are linked to these high risk HPV types. The incidence of penile, anal, and OP cancer is so low that it would not be of great economic value to make something like gardasil to treat just those conditions, though in theory, immunizing people with it could probably lower incidence of those cancers a bit. True, the standard STD test will not test for HPV, but the caveat to that statement is that if the patient is female, we'd do annual pap smears on them, which would be tested for HPV if it comes up abnormal. This usually will identify high risk HPV strains like 16 and 18. Actually, most warts will resolve on their own, and most people don't even get it looked at. Of the people who do, however, they can be biopsied and sent for patho, but a lot of cases it looks benign enough that we could just freeze it with cryotherapy and slowly chip it off similar to warts on hands and toes. Also, the strains of HPV that cause warts are rarely ever responsible for cancers. Well, don't know if I'd agree with universally vaccinating males against HPV, but wouldn't be very harmful. The vaccine is one of the safest out there, and if nothing else, would prevent some unsightly genital warts more so than anything else.
  7. Large dose Vitamin B12 and Folate will also accomplish the same result, fyi.

  10. Brusing probably from scratching yourself at night unconsciously. Doesn't look red or inflammed so it's not any sort of STD. Keep it clean and it should heal on its own. Damage looks primarily cutaneous with little underlying dermal involvement so it shouldn't have any significant scarring after regeneration.

Ok, so this is what you do. Since you have to piss in a small room to do the drug test, bring a bottle containing someone else's urine in with you and pour it into the cup. This is assuming that noone is watching. If they're strict and require that someone watch you to make sure you don't cheat, this is what you do: 1) Obtain sample of friend's urine. Make sure he doesn't have any sort of infection. Keep the urine in a sterile container. http://dsc.discovery.com/news/2007/07/10/gallery/urine_zoom.jpg 2) Obtain a bottle of betadine and sterile latex gloves and wipe the area around your penis clean with it. This is crucial because if you do not do this, you run the huge risk of getting bladder and renal infections. http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/13151/200.jpg 3) Obtain a sterile foley catheter. These are usually always packaged in sterile wrapping so make sure you have a friend over to help open the package and drop the catheter into your gloved hands. http://www.chinamedi.com/picture/8409812272007121710.jpg 4) Next, insert the foley catheter into the opening of the urethra located at the glans of the penis. You'll feel a rather sharp pain while you thread the catheter inwards to reach the bladder. http://www.actasurologicas.info/v30/n02/ENG/3002IE04_archivos/image002.jpg 5) Once it has reached the bladder, inflate it, and urine from the bladder will start to drain. Once this is done, open the container containing your friends urine and using a syringe, inject urine through the foley catheter into your bladder, such that your bladder will be filled with your friend's urine instead of your own. http://img.en.china.cn/0/0,0,395,16892,360,360,44c6ce2c.jpg 6) Remove the foley catheter and really try hard to keep the urethral sphincter shut, otherwise, you'll end up with nothing except soiled pants and wasted effort. Also, you now have a short time before your kidneys produce urine at sufficiently high amounts for the drug test to detect THC. So, do the drug test and do not try and look suspicious. Taking a piss at that point will be like peeing fire. Now, congrats, you now have a bladder filled with your friend's urine to help you pass the drug test. DISCLAIMER: This could cause severe infections and bleeding if done wrong.

Diluting your urine won't work either. They usually measure levels of creatinine in addition to the drugs. Urine should always have a normal range for creatinine, and if you diluted it to prevent detection of steroids or drugs, they'd be able to tell immediately.

THC is stored in fat, meaning it has a very long half life. I think that on average, it is stored for ~3 months before it is completely eliminated from your system via metabolism and urine excretion. So, if you need to take a drug test within 1-2 weeks, you're almost guaranteed to fail.
