I'm afraid I can't, in good conscience, sign off on your medical approval forms. You left right when I was making sure you didn't have testicular cancer. Lance Armstrong had it, and it metastasized to his brain. It could potentially decrease a person's life span significantly. myg0t values the health of its individual and knows that the extremes of life within this organization can take a toll on a person unless they are in complete fit condition. If you do not return for your full physical, I can't sign off on your approval forms.

Get on IRC. If it is decided that you are a fitting candidate, I will give the routine examination to determine if you are in good enough health to handle the stress of being in myg0t.

I can be in an operating room for live procedures, or watch videos of penises getting cut off without feeling nausea, but the look of this cake makes me feel sick.
  6. He should also be able to light stuff on fire and Mohinder's ability, whatever the hell that is. Overall, I didn't particularly like this past season. It felt almost as though the purpose of the entire season was the producers going, "Shit, we made Peter way too powerful," and coming up with an elaborate way of getting rid of this problem.

Why get something that's fat and furry when you can have a fat furry? http://images.teamsugar.com/files/users/1/13255/49_2007/furries3.jpg
  9. Oh, well in that case, it's totally the opposite. Excessive diarrhea is also a cause of hemorrhoids. Doesn't mean you shouldn't get more fiber, but in your case, it's not due to constipation. Like I said, it'll heal on it's own, and the hemorrhoid is due to food poisoning. (See why it's important to provide a complete medical history? That extra info changes everything)
  10. Since we're on the topic of rare, ghizzle, do you have a problem with clotting when you get cut or bruises? Ie, if you get cut with anything (I'll leave the trolling about this statement to anyone else on the forum), do you find that it takes a VERY long time for the bleeding to stop? Also, any family history of hemophilia?
  11. "People who have melanoma have sun exposure, therefore, everyone who is exposed to the sun will get melanoma." That's essentially the logic you are applying in an attempt to troll. Just because you don't eat salad and don't get nosebleed doesn't mean it's the case for everyone. Chronic nosebleeds are very rarely caused by cancer, although it is a possibility. Taking into the fact that he is also probably of a younger age group, the likelihood of cancer is much lower than, say a 60 year old, simply because the incidence of cancer rises exponentially with age. That's not to say that it is impossible that it's leukemia or some sort of tumor in the nasopharynx, but it's just rare.
  12. It will go away on its own. As long as it's not actively bleeding, you don't have to do anything to it, just make sure you don't act too rough on it. Using a knife on the lump is a terrible idea, considering the location. Feces contains probably more bacteria and infectious material than any other excretion in your body. Popping a hemorrhoid will cause bacteria to enter the wound and possibly cause infection. Just give it time and it'll go away in a few days. In addition, to avoid future incidents of hemorrhoids, drink more water and eat some raisin bran or total instead of dounuts. That way you don't have to strain yourself and risk getting more hemorrhoids or a hernia trying to take a dump. http://calorielab.com/news/wp-images/post-images/total-cereal-box.jpg
  13. There's three main over the counter painkillers/antiinflammatory agents. Ibuprofen and Aspirin, which are Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, and Acetaminophen, also known as Tylenol. Acetaminophen is actually the most widespread used painkiller, mostly because there are usually no allergic responses to the drugs, unlike the NSAIDs. Ironically, the mechanism of acetaminophen isn't really that well known. Aspirin is popular in the U.S. because it acts by inhibiting COX2 and reducing production of TXA2. What this does is that not only does it reduce pain by reducing inflammation, but also it reduces the risk of clot formation, effectively acting as a blood thinner. It's more effective at this compared to ibuprofen, which is why it's commonly taken long term in people who are at risk for arterial clotting. Acetaminophen does not have any sort of anticlotting benefit, which is why it's not taken long term like aspirin. In addition, acetaminophen overdose causes acute liver toxicity, and also can become carcinogenic in people who are drinking alcohol and taking it simultaneously. Codeine is an opioid that's illegal to obtain without a prescription, so needless to say, it's not really that commonly used in the U.S.
  14. That's still a bit high. I'm 24 and my blood pressure on average is ~115/75. Since your family has a history of heart problems and hypertension, definitely watch your diet, reduce salt intake and get more exercise. Also, get regular checkups and blood work done. Having a family history of hypertension does pre-dispose you to problems, but with the right diet and lifestyle, it's manageable.
  15. 96 degrees isn't too big of an issue, certain people have lower body temperatures. I'm more worried about your blood pressure. Does your family have a history of hypertension? You're 19 years old and have systolic hypertension, defined as a systolic BP of 140 or higher. Your diastole is normal, but systolic pressure is quite high considering your age.
  16. How old are you?

I'm not too certain about herbal medicine, but I recently attended a seminar on the effects of accupuncture, meditation, and tai chi in patients currently in physical therapy after surgery. Supposedly, many patients recovered at a much faster rate compared to people who don't do these practices. I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect or whether these people were more willing to live a lifestyle that helps them recover more quickly compared to others, but it's something I've wondered about. Only problem is that since traditional medicine isn't really looked at via modern medicine, I feel like it'd be hard to get an NIH grant to conduct a controlled study. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind actually doing a paper on this.
  18. Vitamin C deficiency could also be another cause as well. Almost forgot about that. Thanks.
  19. Do you get enough vegetables? One of the big things about bloody noses in younger people is the fact that they don't consume enough fruits and vegetables. A key to stopping bloody noses is Vitamin K, which is present in a lot of vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage. Deficiency in Vitamin K would lead to immature clotting factors responsible for preventing hemmoraging. If you don't eat much vegetables or fruits, try eating more of those and see if they help. If you're strongly opposed to eating vegetables, consider taking a multivitamin. Get your blood pressure tested and make sure it's not high. Normal values are below 140/90. If your blood pressure is above this level, you have hypertension and should see a doctor about this. Finally, do you have any other symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, etc. Also, are you on any medications such as blood thinners or aspirin? Are you also taking any supplements?

I'm curious as to how other people think about the concept of alternative medicine. While it is not taught for us for the purpose of actual practice, I've attended numerous seminars that have brought up the possible benefits of alternative medicine. This includes eastern homeopathic medicine and exercises where there's been recent testimony about their benefits in cases such as recovery and physical therapy after surgeries. There has yet been any NIH sponsored research conducted on these fields, so there's not really any firm evidence that supports the benefit of alternative medicine. I'm kind of curious what people outside of the field think about this topic. Feel free to share your opinions.
  21. Was referring to the fact that he's standing up in the picture instead of in a wheelchair.
  22. Multiple Sclerosis would present with problems in walking and generalized movement of legs and arms. If his motor control is so bad that he can't even write words on a cake properly, he wouldn't be able to take a picture of himself standing straight up and eating cake happily. The guy's an overgrown wombat if he believes he can pull that off as pity points.
