I was playing "The Specialist" mod for Half-Life, on an Asian server might I add, and I felt the inclination to fib a little. I engaged in conversation with a young chap by the nickname of "[NO-CD] Jokester" and I made up a story about how his Chinese government recently killed 20,000 villagers just 20 meters north of Kansu. I told him it was because the villagers were starving due to a bad crop season, but the government still demanded an export. And when the villagers refused, and started to protest in the fasion of the 19th Century union movement, the People's Republic Army was called upon, and due to unforeen circumstance and a accidental discharge, it led to the eventual and unfortunate destruction of the entire village, with an estimated 20,000 dead or wounded. After telling this fabulous fable, this young lad, said he would start a movement to overthrow the oppressive government. A month later, I was told by his clanmate that because he was spreading lies and false news in the attempt to cause subversion, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Now I must ask, was this the rage of the century?
